History: Caisingen II was designed in September 1933 by Karl Einar Sjögren and built on the Hornsbergs shipyard in 1934. At that time she was the longest A22 in the world. The construction was lead by the boat builder G. Olsson and he was assisted by members from Stockholm Segel Klubb. The boat was built to be a lottery win.At the 27th of September 1934 the yacht was won by Axel Sundell from Stockholm on the lot number 1666. Axel Sundell owned already an A22, Kajsa IV so he sold Caisingen II to the Härnosamds Segel Sällskap. HSS also made a lottery with Caisingen II as a prize and she was won by A. Asell. He sold her to E Mattson in Härnösand and he changed her name to Gerd. E Mattson owned the boat up to 1942 when he sold her to I Olsson in Sundsvall. I Olsson gave her the name Caisingen II - the reason for the number II is easy, he had earlier owned SK30S1 Caisingen, designed by Sjögren in 1928. Caisingen II did not stay long in Sundsvall. She was sold in 1944 to C Cahier and G Thurfjell in Lulea and they changed her name to Kajsa. Later on Cahier became the sole owner of Kajsa and was so until the beginning of the 1960s. Then Kjell Träff in Amal bought her and gave her back the name Caisingen II. About 1970 she was sold to Knut Gustavsson in Lidköping. Later during the 1970s Björn Levinsson bought Caisingen II to Stockholm. She stayed there also with the next owner, Sven Högelin. In 1982 Ulf Lycke bought her and sailed her mostly on the lake Mjörn near Alingsas. Up from 1988 she belongs to Jörgen Svensson. At the 25th of April in 1995 Caisingen II was sold to Germany. In October 2011 she was sold to J.Pauleweit. Her new home port is Lemkenhafen/Island of Fehmarn (www.svlf.de).He started her renovation at the end of October 2011 and after roundabout 1.000 hours of work, since the 27th of July 2012, Caisingen II is sailing again.
